Laughter therapy reduces stress – go on have a giggle!

We couldn’t stop laughing when we saw this clip on the BBC website. Next time you’re stressed at work, have a little giggle to yourself and apparently you are bound to feel better!

This new kind of laughter therapy has taken off in Kent. Whether you’re feeling upset, ill, stressed… laughter is the best medicine when taking all your worries away. I know that when I get together with the girls, you can guarantee we’ll be laughing about something and I always feel better!

What i don’t understand though is how people can just go to ‘laughing class’ and simply start laughing at nothing?! I often find that me and friends end up laughing at something that isn’t really that funny, which then makes it funnier, but there’s always a trigger to get us giggling. And I know that if i started laughing at my desk for no apparent reason, i’d look a bit mental and i would get a few strange looks from my fellow colleagues!

But i’m not judging, laughter therapy could be the new cure to people’s troubles, and in the current climate, why not give it a try? Get your mates over, dig out a funny film or a box set of Friends, reminisce about the good old days and have a giggly night in. Not only will you save money, you will also have a real laugh with your friends – just make sure your sides don’t split!
